Electronic hydraulic power steering system

Main components: oil storage tank, power steering control unit, electric pump, steering machine, power steering sensor, etc., of which power steering control unit and electric pump are an integral structure.

Working principle: The electronic hydraulic steering power system overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional hydraulic steering power system. The hydraulic pump used by it is no longer driven directly by the engine belt, but by an electric pump, and all of its working states are calculated by the electronic control unit according to the speed of the vehicle, steering Angle and other signals. Simply put, at low speed, the electronic control unit drives the electronic hydraulic pump to output high power at high speed, so that the driver can save effort in the direction; When the car is driving at high speed, the hydraulic control unit drives the electronic hydraulic pump to operate at a lower speed, which does not affect the need for high-speed steering while saving part of the engine power.

Electric Power Steering (EPS)
The full English name is Electronic Power Steering, or EPS, which uses the power generated by the electric motor to assist the driver in power steering. The composition of EPS, although different car structural components are not the same, but generally the same. It is generally composed of torque (steering) sensors, electronic control units, electric motors, retarders, mechanical steering devices, and animal battery power supplies.

Main working principle: When the car is turning, the torque (steering) sensor will "feel" the torque of the steering disk and the direction of the intended rotation, these signals will be sent to the electronic control unit through the data bus, the electronic control unit will issue action instructions to the motor controller according to the transmission torque, the direction of the intended rotation and other data signals, so that the motor will output the corresponding size of the rotation torque according to the specific needs. This creates power steering. If it does not turn, the system does not work and is in standby(sleep) state waiting for the call. Due to the working characteristics of electric power steering, you will feel that driving such a car has a better sense of direction and is more stable at high speed, as the saying goes, the direction is not floating. And because it does not work when it is not turned, it also saves energy to some extent. Generally, high-end cars use such power steering systems more.
